Shamanism is one of humanity's oldest spiritual traditions, in which the shaman plays a mediating role between the human world and the spirit world. The shaman makes "journeys" in altered states of consciousness - through drumming, singing, dancing or herbal remedies - to heal, give guidance, unblock spiritual blocks or contact ancient knowledge and spiritual helpers.

What is the essence of shamanism?

  1. Connecting with nature and the invisible world
  2. The world is divided into three levels: lower world (ancestors, helpers), middle world (human existence), upper world (higher consciousness, teachers)

A shaman is a mediator between worlds who:

  • heal
  • performs a soul retrieval
  • seeks advice from the spiritual world
  • repels negative forces
  • clears the aura, spaces

What does a shaman do?

  1. Shaman drums or other instruments (rattles, singing) to assist the trance state
  2. Accompanies the client on a spiritual journey
  3. Helps to find lost soul parts (e.g. parts "lost" due to trauma)
  4. Connecting with animal helpers, ancestors, teaching spirits
  5. Often performs rituals, purifications, for example by incense (sage, palo santo)

Where can we meet him?
Shamanism is found in many ancient cultures:

It has elements of Siberian, Mongolian, North American Indian, South American, African, Australian and even Hungarian folklore (táltos traditions).
Modern shamanism (neo-shamanism) has been revived worldwide in the search for more natural, spiritual paths.

What is shamanism used for?
Release of physical or psychological blocks

Deep self-awareness work, inner journey

Dealing with trauma, grief, loss

Energy cleaning

Soul healing, activating inner strength

Finding a spiritual compass in life situations

Important note:
Shamanism is not a religion, but an experiential spiritual path.

Some rituals are performed with psychoactive plants (e.g. ayahuasca, peyote) - these are not without danger and always require the supervision of a trained guide.

There is also modern shamanic therapy based on psychology, which uses no drugs, just relaxation, drumming and imagination.
