Naturopathy

Naturopathy (or naturopathy) is a holistic approach to healing based on natural methods that support the ability of people to heal themselves. Its aim is not only to relieve symptoms, but to restore balance to the whole body - physically, mentally and spiritually.

🌿What is naturopathy all about?
Naturopathy starts from the premise that the body can heal itself if we create the right conditions. It uses these natural remedies:

  1. Nutritional therapy
  2. Herbs (phytotherapy)
  3. Vitamins, minerals (orthomolecular therapy)
  4. Detoxification, fasting
  5. Homeopathy
  6. Acupressure, reflexology
  7. Movement therapy, breathing exercises
  8. Spiritual and lifestyle counselling

How is it different from traditional medicine?
Traditional medicine Naturopathy
Focus on the symptom It looks at the whole person
Medication Natural methods
Rapid intervention Process-based self-healing
Disease Centric Health-centred, prevention-based

When is a naturopathic approach recommended?

  • For chronic complaints (e.g. digestion, sleep problems, skin problems)
  • For stress, fatigue, burnout
  • To support lifestyle change, detoxification, weight loss
  • As an additional treatment to medication (e.g. in oncology support)
  • As a preventive measure to maintain general well-being

Important to know:
In most countries (including Hungary), it is not a substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment, but is used as a supplement.

It can be performed by a qualified naturopath or a naturopathic doctor.
